Mouse left click button not working
Whenever you notice the mouse click not working, the first step we recommend to disconnect and reconnect the mouse on the computer, or to connect the mouse to another USB port.

Open settings using keyboard shortcut Windows key + I,Locate Devices then Mouse using tab key on your keyboard.Under the “Select your primary button,” ensure the option is set to “Left.”
Run the hardware troubleshooter
Windows 10 comes with built-in hardware troubleshooter that can scan and solve many external device (Include optical mouse) problems automatically.
Hit the windows key on the keyboard, type control panel and press enter,locate Hardware and Sound then Devices and Printers (using Tab key on the keyboard)Next, locate your mouse, right-click on it, and hit ‘Troubleshoot’The troubleshooter will start to diagnose, If it finds and applies a fix,Once done restart your computer and check the status of the problem.
Restart Windows File Explorer
On your keyboard press, the Ctrl + Shift + Esc key simultaneously to open Task Manager on Windows.Then, use the down arrow button to select Windows ExplorerNext use the Tab key to select the Restart option then use the Enter button to click on it.
Create a new User Account
Sometimes a corrupt user account profile can create such issues on your computer. Try creating a new user profile following the steps below and see if it helps resolve the mouse click issue.
Open the command prompt as administrator,type command net user Username Password /add (for example, net user admin p@ss /add) Press enter key.If you want to add the user to a particular group such as Administrator execute command net localgroup GroupPrivilege UserName /add (Example: net localgroup administrators admin /add)
Restart your computer, and log in to the new user account you just created and check the status of the problem.
Reinstall the Mouse driver
Again an outdated or corrupted device driver can cause such issues. Try to update or reinstall the mouse driver following the steps below that probably help fix the mouse not working problem.
Press Windows key + X on and select device manager (using down arrow)Locate Mice and other pointing devices, expand itRight-click on your mouse driver to open its Properties.Switch to the Driver tab click the Uninstall Device button (follow the screen option to uninstall it completely.)
Reboot your computer, Now disconnect the mouse and then plug it in again to reinstall the mouse driver.

Run system file checker
It’s possible that some core system files corrupted and that causing your computer not responding to mouse clicks or Mouse clicks stopped working. Running the build-in system file checker utility can fix these types of problems.
Open the command prompt as administrator,type command sfc /scannow and press enter key,This will start scanning the system for missing corrupted files if found any the sfc utility automatically restores them with the correct one.Let the scanning process complete 100%, once done reboot your PC.
Run DISM tool
In addition, run the DISM command-line tool to service Windows images and fix various corrupted system files
To run DISM, open Command Prompt with administrator privilege and execute the command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthIt will take a few minutes to check everything and try to fix the problem automatically.
