This is the update that introduces Cross Play, which allows gamers to interact and play Minecraft across Windows 10 PC, Xbox One, mobile, VR, and Nintendo Switch. The notable absentee from the list is Sony’s PS4. The Japanese company says it does not want to open Cross Play compatibility because it is worried its network could be compromised. Microsoft rubbished those claims and has since said it is in discussions with Sony to introduce Cross Play. Interestingly, Epic Games new Fortnite title seems to be working online and linking Xbox One and PS4 gamers.
For non-PS4 gamers, Microsoft is talking about the Better Together Update as the Minecraft unifier. The company says “Minecraft: Xbox One Edition” or “Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition” and hi to a universal “Minecraft!”

Elsewhere with the new update, Microsoft has added Remix 3D. The feature allows users to share models easily outside their Minecraft world. These models can be printed and will be integrated with Paint 3D. Also, Minecraft is getting the ability to play split-screen on consoles. This will be important for people with just one device for playing the game. Here are some of the other features:
