Since opening its doors in 2015, Clear Software has been an integration platform-as-a-service (IPaaS) used in SAP and Oracle. It helps users to create automated tools for cloud-based apps and platforms. Microsoft is now leveraging the suite to bring new tools to the Power Platform in General Availability. According to the company, this increased integration will make it easier for SAP users to digitally transform and automate. Leading the changes is a selection of new prebuilt Power Apps available through a new solution Microsoft calls SAP Integration. During the preview of the service, the company used customer feedback to enhance the apps. “We have taken two of the most tedious tasks, Sales Order entry and Purchase Order entry, and streamlined all the screens and data attributes involved into one simple screen in Power Apps. In these apps, business users will be able to complete these tasks much faster while ensuring better data accuracy through automation of business rules in Power Automate.”
2023 Expansion
Next year, Microsoft says SAP Integration will get an update to include Power Apps that will automate the 25 most common SAP processes:
“Order to Cash – Customers, Quotes, Sales Orders, Deliveries, Customer Invoices, Customer Payments, and Mass Pricing Updates Procure to Pay – Vendors, Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, Vendor Invoices, and Vendor Payments Record to Report – Financial Postings, GL Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Cash Application, and Mass Journal Entry Upload Make to Stock/Make to Order (MRP) – Production/Process Orders, Materials, Goods Movements, Equipment, Work Orders, and Shipments”
Tip of the day: For the most part, Windows apps are stable, but they can still be still thrown out of whack by updates or configuration issues. Many boot their PC to find their Microsoft Store isn’t working or their Windows apps aren’t opening. Luckily Windows 11 and Windows 10 have an automatic repair feature for apps that can resolve such issues.
