Microsoft says its recently launched platform will be available to US Government organizations next year. The company wants to enhance its cloud infrastructure collaborations with the United States Government. No solid date has been given, although Microsoft 365 will be made available for all US Government organizations in 2018. The roll out will begin with aerospace companies, defense industry, and government contractors. Additionally, Microsoft Teams will get 365 integration for US Government environments next year. Microsoft 365 is essentially a bundle package of Microsoft services. It combines Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security in one subscription package. The platform is available in two bundles, Microsoft 365 Enterprise and Microsoft 365 Business. For Microsoft 365 Enterprise, two different subscriptions are available, Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5. For the business version of the platform, Microsoft introduced three new applications. Connections, Listings, and Invoicing help organizations perform tasks more easily, such as creating marketing campaigns, social media listing management, and an invoicing platform.
Microsoft 365 Features
At Ignite 2017 in September, Microsoft introduced new features for the subscription service. The company debuted two new packages for customers, F1 and Education. Microsoft also revealed new personalization features for subscribers. The company says these features allow customers to “discover people and information from across your organization and beyond”. The F1 edition combines Windows 10, Office 365 F1, and Enterprise Mobility + Security. Microsoft points out the release will “maximize the impact of the Firstline Worker.” Office 365 for Education, Windows 10, Enterprise Mobility + Security, and Minecraft: Education Edition.
